Why do I receive a personal account login prompt from the Kanopy database when I try to access a Kanopy streaming video?

Answer

When trying to access any library e-resource off campus, you will receive a teal colored prompt to enter your ACES username and Banner number.  When you to try to access a video from the library's Kanopy video database, you will receive a second prompt (from the Kanopy database) requesting an additional login:

     -If you are using the Kanopy app on your phone, you will have to create a personal account in the Kanopy app to  access the video. 

     -If you are using a computer to access the video from the library's Palomino Search tool, Search a specific database (and then Kanopy Streaming Video) or a direct link, Kanopy presents a screen with an orange button “log  in to alamo.”  Click on the button.  There are two additional clicks to get to the main               screen.  No need to click on the Login button on the upper right corner.
